The Southern Downs Steam Railway was founded in 1996, initially to restore the former Queensland Railways locomotive depot in Warwick. In 2000, a C17 class steam locomotive was purchased and restored to operational condition with passenger operations commencing in January 2009. Wikipedia
Morgan Park 1
Morgan Park Raceway is a motorsports complex located at Old Stanthorpe Road near Warwick, in Queensland, Australia and is operated by the Warwick District Sporting Car Club Inc. Warwick-Musem
The main building of the museum is Pringle Cottage ’ circa 1870. It was built by John McCullock, a stone mason from Scotland. He also built several other sandstone buildings of significant heritage value in Warwick: The Abbey of the Roses which was the Convent of Mercy, the Town Hall, the Uniting Church and the Church of England.

The UQ Warwick Solar Farm will enable UQ to be 100% renewable by 2020 This means the solar farm will generate as much or more electricity each year than the University needs.UQ is committed to sustainability leadership, and will be the first university in the world to generate 100 per cent of its electricity from its own renewable energy asset.The Warwick Solar Farm will build on UQ’s existing strengths in the renewables field.The project will provide the groundwork for a wide range of new teaching, research and engagement opportunities, in addition to its environmental and financial benefits.
Queen Mary Falls
From the Queen Mary Falls lookout, watch Spring Creek plunge over the 40m Queen Mary Falls to continue its twisting journey down the valley floor to join the Condamine River. On a summer’s day take time to pause for a moment to feel the waterfall’s cool spray.There are often water dragons sunbaking on rocks around the valley floor and the track goes through plenty of ferns and native Australian trees.

Finding sunflower fields can be a bit like a golden treasure hunt! Before you depart, check out the map below (as of 7 February 2019, no fields are blooming), head to the Southern Downs and Granite Belt Facebook page, or give the Warwick Visitor Information Centre a buzz to find out exactly where fields are blooming.
