What's Happening in Warwick:                                                       

April 2019:

20th: NDIS Information and Access in Warwick. A free workshop taking place for anyone who is interested in learning or better understanding about NDIS (the National Disability Insurance Scheme). The workshop is being put in place to help people who may benefit from the information. You will learn more about what NDIS is, how it could benefit you, and how to apply for access. The workshop will be held at the Warwick Library, 49 Albion St. Follow this link if you would like to know more.

20th: OPIUO Festival in Warwick, 'Rabbits Eat Lettuce.' Dance, party and socialise with many like-minded people looking to escape the hustle-and-bustle of day-to-day life.

20th-24th: Live Music Pop Up Bar. Opening Easter Saturday, there will be five nights of live music, bar, wine and tapas. From 5pm until late. Entry is free. Being held at the Palace Hotel, 161 Palmerin Street, Warwick.

21st: Southern Downs Steam Railway Tour: A short, local tour, ideal for families looking for a Sunday adventure. The train departs from Warwick at 10:00am, traveling to Hendon before returning to Warwick at 11:30am. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets.

21st: Southern Downs Steam Railway Tour: A very short tour departing from Warwick at 2pm, for Wheatvale. The train will arrive back at Warwick at 3:30pm. This a great way to experience something new and unique with the family. If you are interested and would like more information, please visit their website.

 22nd-28th: Adina Polocrosse World Cup. A week of competitive fun will take place as players from eight countries come to Warwick to fight for the championship. Players from Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, USA, UK, Ireland, Zambia and Zimbabwe will take part as we celebrate the 80th year of the Polocrosse tournament. The Polocrosse is a major event, bringing people from all over the world to witness the sport. You can visit their website for more information.

26th April to 6 May: Southern Downs Heritage Festival. An eleven-day event offering tours , displays and exhibitions relating to the founding and history of Warwick. Music, entertainment, heritage menus, afternoon teas and lunches will be held in some of the region's historic heritage listed buildings. You can visit their website for more information.

27th-28th: Swan Creek Heritage Display. Local displays showcasing crosscut saws, axes and other historical tools, antique linens and household items and more. Morning tea, afternoon tea and lunch available. This event will take place at Swan Creek Hall, 3 Swan Creek Road from 9am to 4pm. Admission is only $5 and children under 12 are free. May 2019:

3rd-5th: Morgan Park Raceway. HRCC Autumn Historic Warwick Race Meeting.

5th: Southern Downs Steam Railway Tour. A great opportunity for a family adventure on a short tour from Warwick to Hendon and return. The train will depart for Hendon at 10:0am and return to Warwick at 11:30am. If you are interested you can visit their website for more information.

5th: Southern Downs Steam Railway Tour. A great activity for a lazy Sunday afternoon with a leisurely tour departing for Wheatvale at 2:00pm and returning to Warwick at 3:30pm. If you are interested in this event, you can find more information on their website.

 6th: Morgan Park Motorcycle Ride Day. This event is not a race or a competition, just a great opportunity for riders to push themselves, and their machines, to the limit legally. For more information, you can visit their facebook page.

10th-12th: Morgan Park Raceway. Qld Super Sprints Series - Round 2B.

18th: Motorcycle Sportsmen of QLD - Masters of Morgan Park.

18th-19th: The People N Places Pentathrun is held around the end of May each year. The event comprises of five runs over the two day event. Each race is a bit different, some easier  than others, making it possible for people at all levels to participate and have some fun. June 2019:

28th-30th: Morgan Park Raceway. CAMS State Championship Race Meeting - Round 1 - Promoted by CORD

 


July 2019:

4th-7th: Morgan Park Raceway. Australian SuperBike Championship - Round 4

12th-14th: Morgan Park Raceway. HRCCQ Historic QLD Race Meeting

18-28th July: Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival. One of Warwick's most popular events, the Jumpers and Jazz Festival brings people from all over eager to enjoy the family-friendly fun.

20th: Morgan Park Raceway. Porsche Club QLD Sprints

26th-28th: Warwick Show and Rodeo Society Inc will be hosting the 'Dopro Plus Warwick Trans-Tasman Sheep Dog Trial' where you can watch some top working dogs and their handlers in action. The event will begin at 8:00am, Friday, 26/03/19 and conclude at 5:00pm, Sunday, 28/03/19.

28th: Morgan Park Raceway. Women in Motorsport Track Day. A day of events is planned with the aim of providing women with the opportunity to experience the racetrack. If you are interested, you can find out more here.
